Meet the owner, Cara Greene
Cara Greene, CPA
Owner, Greene Accounting (C Greene CPA LLC)
I found my passion for accounting when I was working as the bookkeeper at the local grocery store. My journey from there led me to taking courses at the local technical college and eventually graduating with my Masters of Business Administration from a Wisconsin University. As part of my path, I was fortunate to work at the Chamber of Commerce, where I really found my spark – helping small businesses. Hired just two weeks before the pandemic of 2020, this role was a rather ‘make it up as you go along’ type job that showed me just how resilient, creative and compassionate small business owners can be.
I’ve got over a decade of experience working with and within multiple small businesses in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I’ve worked in retail, food service (both production and serving), grocery, construction, non profit and education.
And what I’ve learned is that not every small business owner is the same – which is why our solutions follow a framework that can be customized to you.
Maybe you like reconciling your transactions in Quickbooks Online because it allows you to maintain that constant eye on the finances. Or maybe you’d rather have one conversation a month with your accountant who gives you the highlights about what’s going right and what’s not working. Either way – I want to meet you where you are and figure out how we can get you to where you want to be.

Greene Accounting offers a variety of accounting and business solutions, focusing on small business owners who don’t have the resources to have an accounting staff on hand. I believe that small business owners deserve affordable, reliable expertise just as much as anyone else.
This practice has no physical office, so we could accept virtual clients from anywhere in Wisconsin. If you are a business who prefers to always have in person meetings, we might not be the best expert to perform your services. I am open to traveling up to an hour for new clients and those who have complex situations that would be better explored via an in person visit. I am experienced in running a team remotely, so virtual meetings are nothing new for me!
